Nurse Corps Scholarship

 Deadline to apply is April 30th, 2020 at 7:30pm ET

The Nurse Corps Scholarship Program (Nurse Corps SP) provides funding to students enrolled in diploma, associate, baccalaureate, or graduate degree nursing programs. The award is in exchange for a commitment to serve in high-need, underserved communities. Scholarship support includes payment of tuition, required fees, other reasonable educational costs, and a monthly living stipend.
After graduation, scholarship recipients fulfill their service commitment at an approved health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses. Each scholar serves for a minimum of two years and receives one year of financial support (up to four years) for each additional year of service.

San Diego National Association of Hispanic Nurses

The goal of this scholarship is to empower those who have suffered through trauma. All college students who have survived and thrived through trauma are invited to apply for this scholarship.  All GPAs are considered. All majors are eligible.   $1500 cash award.

AFT Larry Schwartz Memorial Scholarship

The American Federation of Teachers is offering $500 scholarships  to students from Grossmont and Cuyamaca colleges who are a current or former member of the union, or have a family member in the union (mother, father, son, daughter, husband, wife).  500 word essay required. Richard J. Bea Memorial Scholarship

The Grossmont Healthcare District will award two non-renewable scholarships in the amount of $5000 for first place and $3000 for second place to  Registered Nursing  students based on their community involvement.   Click on the 'apply' button below for eligibility and application requirements. The San Diego Foundation Scholarship

Did you know California residents produce the most FAFSA applications in the nation? Students in California need financial support when pursuing post-secondary education. Help your students receive financial support by having them complete our online scholarship application.
Through one online application, students can access more than 100 scholarship opportunities with awards ranging from $1,000 to more than $5,000. Some scholarships can be renewed for multiple years, often offsetting the financial burden for a student’s entire undergraduate career.

​Our scholarships are open to:
  • Graduating high school seniors
  • Current college students (undergraduate or graduate)
  • Adult re-entry students
  • Students with financial need (includes middle income families)
  • Students attending four-year, community colleges or career/technical schools

Scholarship Application Period is Open – Students can earn up to $1,000 for their education!
It’s now easier than ever for students to apply and earn scholarships up to $1,000. Students no longer have to manually search through each scholarship’s criteria and submit multiple applications. All students are eligible for scholarships, so encourage yours to apply!
 
How students can apply
  • Go to gcccd.academicworks.com
  • Create an account by clicking on the Sign Up button and using their GCCCD-registered email address
  • Complete the application
  • Write a personal statement and submit at least 2 letters of recommendation
